882,790. Blow-moulding hollow articles. HAGEN, R. [trading as KAUTEX WERK]. June 30, 1959 [July 21, 1958; Oct. 6, 1958; Nov 11, 1958], No. 22494/59. Class 87(2). [Also in Group XVII] In the blow-moulding of a hollow article, e.g. a bottle, tube or ampoule, in a two-part mould 10, 11 the mould has parts 12, 13 which are moved by a lever 21 or eccentric 22 to shape the blown article whilst it is still in the mould. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), the mould halves may have movable shaping members at both the top and the bottom. The mould parts may have cutting edges 14 to separate the moulded article from the extruded tube. In further modifications, Figs. 4 to 6 (not shown), the movable shaping member may be in the form of a plunger. In another modification, Fig. 7, mould sections 103, 104 are displaceable towards the centre of the mould section 111. Specifications 744,927 and 882,788 are referred to.
