Class 120(2) A double-belt drafting device provided with a pressure member to urge the operative runs of the belts together has the pressure member adjustably mounted on a telescopic arm disposed between the runs of one belt. The pressure member is preferably in the form of a pair of rollers 16 mounted on a rod 15 slidable in a tubular arm 10 which houses a spring 17 arranged to press the rod 15 outwardly against the pull of cords 19 attached to the rod 15 at one end and to a shaft 22 at the other. A bracket 11 attached to the arm 10 is coupled to a shaft 14 so that rotation of the shaft 14 results in lateral adjustment of the rollers 16. Rotation of the shaft 22 provides longitudinal adjustment of the rollers 16. Instead of rollers 16, slides, preferably with convex contact surfaces, may be used.
