Abstract

573,125. Window-operating apparatus. SMYE, A. Dec. 2, 1943, No, 20190. [Class 20 (iii)] A sliding -window regulator comprises upper and lower pulleys 3, and a winding drum 2 in a common plane and with parallel axes; a cable 5 extends between the pulleys in the direction of movement of the window and is anchored to the drum so that parts are wound in opposite directions, the part of the cable between the pulleys being connected to the window 7. The guide pulleys 3 and drum 2 may be mounted on a triangular frame. The drum has a self-acting clutch operating when the handle is released.
