Abstract

827,764. Tumbler switches. CRABTREE & CO. Ltd., J. A., and MORGAN, R. W. Feb. 11, 1958 [Feb. 13, 1957], No. 4866/57. Class 38 (5). A change-over switch (Figs. 3 and 8) comprises a pair of parallel spring blades 2, 2a each anchored to one of a pair of terminals 3, 3a, fixed contacts 10, 11 secured to a second pair of terminals 3b, 3c, and a cammed dolly 8 acting on the spring blades through guided rollers 6, 7 against springs 4. The fixed contacts are preferably arranged as shown to provide an intermediate switch. The spring blades may be mounted side-by-side as shown in Fig. 14 with the fixed contacts 22, 22a overlapping each other and the blades actuated by a dolly 24 (Fig. 15) having two angularly displaced cams 23, 23a.
