Abstract
1,155,505. Push-button switches. TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L.M. ERICSSON. 23 Feb., 1968 [24 Feb., 1967], No. 9022/68. Heading H1N. Spring contacts 13, 14 each comprise a U- shaped member having a spiral 19 pushfitting into recesses 21 in an insulating elastic support 2 on a printed circuit member 1, a spiral 20 to absorb the strains during actuation, and a part 17 co-operable with a part 18 of a fixed contact 12. On depression of a button 3 against a spring 10, initially spirals 20 are received in recesses 24 of a part 23 on button 3, and then part 23 displaces contacts 13 laterally into engagement with contacts 12 and thereafter surfaces 28 on part 23 slide down between spirals 20 to prolong contact closure (Fig. 2). Member 1 may be provided with a plurality of buttons 3 on individual supports 2. The straight arm of contacts 13, 14 and contacts 12 are connected to printed circuitry on the lower side of member 1.
