Abstract

In the production of raw rubber in the form of sheets of latex rubber coagulum dried in the absence of wood smoke, there is incorporated with the latex, upon its dilution and treatment with the coagulant, e.g. formic or acetic acid, sufficient additive of such composition that for 1,280 parts by weight of dry rubber there are 1-3 parts of paranitrophenol, 6-20 parts of formic acid, 0.0352-0.352 parts of oxalic acid and 1-12 parts by weight of 37-40% formaldehyde solution.
