Abstract

A natural or synthetic rubber composition is prepared by a process comprising blending a casein-rubber master-batch (containing between 20% and 80% by weight of casein) into a dry natural or synthetic rubber so as to provide a blend containing from 10 to 20% by weight of casein. The master-batch is preferably made by coprecipitating aqueous casein and latex. Specifications 803,013 and 880,739 are referred to.
