Abstract
826,666. Rollers. HANMADE CONVEYOR CO. Ltd. June 1, 1956 [June 15, 1955], No. 17254/55. Addition to 772,048. Class 42 (2). [Also in Group XXX] The end disc for a conveyer idler roller disclosed in the parent Specification is modified in that it includes a substantially rigid member 6 which is attached to the roller sleeve 2, the member which is both resilient and fire-resistant being interposed between the axle 1 and the rigid member. In one form, Fig. 1, the resilient and fire-resistant member 4 is fitted within an enlargement of the bore of member 6 and a bearing 3 is located within a recess in the member 4. The member 4 incorporates a dust seal 7. In another form, Fig. 2, the member 4 is held within a large-diameter bore of the member 6 by a circlip 8 and an oil reservoir is provided. In a further form, Fig. 7, the member 4 is fitted on the axle and the bearing 3 interposed between the members 4 and 6. Various other arrangements incorporating these features are also shown.
