Class 137 In an air intake ventilator for a firegrate in a room comprising a disc r having a stem s which screws into a bridge piece t in an annulus u secured to the skirting board c of the room, the disc r when moved from contact with the annulus admits air in a diffused flow either direct from outside the building or from beneath the floor. According to the Provisional Specification frames, each having a pivoted flap or door may be secured to the skirting board, and each frame may be rectangular with screw holes at the corners, the opening of the flap or door having limiting means, with a wire mesh or like guard behind the flap or door. Also, the air may be drawn through a duct from a convector heater in another room.
