Abstract
823,493. Furnaces for the reduction of iron ores. INLAND STEEL CO. Dec. 20, 1957 [Dec. 28, 1956], No. 39614/57. Class 51 (2). [Also in Group II] Ore is supplied to reducing furnace 10 by screw conveyer 11 and partially reduced ore removed by screw conveyer 17. Reducing gas from line 14 enters the ore via bubble cap elements 21 and spent gas leaves via pipe 33, entrained particles being separated by cyclone 34 and returned to join the partially reduced ore.
