Class 75(1) A centre' draught burner comprises a cylindrical wick carrier 18 having two projecting trunnions 21 passing through vertical or inclined slots 22 in a fixed sleeve 8 surrounding the wick carrier and through inclined slots 24 in a rotatable sleeve 23 surrounding the fixed sleeve. Rotation of the rotatable sleeve 23 by means of a handle 28 raises or lowers the wick. The handle 28 is on the end of one or two pins 26 extending from the rotatable sleeve 23 and riding in slots 27 in an outer perforated housing 9 welded to a flanged ring 11 riveted to the fixed sleeve 8 and provided with punched parts 11A arranged in a spiral so that the burner can be secured within a fuel tank 1, Fig. 1 (not shown) by a screw action. A chimney 29 incorporating a top control ring 29A is removably fitted over an apertured control ring 13 fitted on the upper end of the housing. A short tube 15 having a flared mouth 16 and an internal shoulder 17 is fitted into the upper end of the fixed sleeve 8. The chimney 29 has two spaced annular flanges through which pass with clearance pillars extending from the tank and supporting a cooking ring above the chimney. A lid is removably secured to the cooking ring and has a handle for carrying the heater.
