811,163. Burners. LEVEY, L. W. March 23, 1956 [March 24, 1955], No. 8574/55. Class 75(1) In a fuel container for a burner comprising an outer container 1 adapted to receive the lower portion of a fuel tank 2. the latter has intermediately positioned peripheral members 12 adapted to engage with the outer container so as to be supported thereby and the bottom 5 of the outer container is dished and includes an outlet 6 at its lowest point. The fuel tank 2 is made in two rectangular troughs of equal size having out-turned flanges 12 which are fastened together by soldering or welding. The outer container 1 is a deep rectangular trough having an out-turned flange 11 on which the flanges 12 of the fuel tank rest. The outlet 6 is located at one side of the longitudinal centre line of the outer container and comprises an elbow, the inner end of which projects above the bottom of the outer container and is surrounded by a filter 9. The outlet from the tank 2 comprises an internally threaded sleeve 15 fastened to the bottom of the tank. A cap 16 is screwed into the sleeve 15 and has an opening adapted to be closed by a valve having a stem 22 extending through the opening in the cap 16 to abut the bottom 5 of. the outer container and a further stem 21 extending upwardly through an opening in a member 18 supported by a filter 17 secured to the cap 16. The valve is urged into closed position by a spring surrounding the upper stem 21
