Abstract

1343717 Gas camping stoves D L HEIN 3 Nov 1971 [19 Nov 1970] 51051/71 Heading F4W A collapsible gas stove 10 comprises a burner 32, gas fitting 22, receptacle 26 and lid 30, the arrangement being such that the lid may be secured to the gas fitting to form a base for the assembled stove and the receptacle may be mounted on the gas fitting to form a support for a cooking pot. After disassembly the burner and gas fitting may be packed into the receptacle and the lid secured thereon. The gas fitting includes a needle 20 for insertion into the rubber valve of a cylinder of liquified petroleum gas, a valve member 24 to control the flow of gas and and a jet 80. The upper end of the upstanding branch 42 of the gas fitting is formed with a threaded neck 40 on which the burner is screwed, the aperture 38 in the receptacle 26 being a loose fit over the neck so that the receptacle is held in abutment with the shoulder of the upstanding branch by screwing down the burner on the neck.
