819,143. Traverse mechanism. INDUSTRIE-WERKE KARLSBRUHE A. G. Oct. 4, 1956 [Dec. 24, 1955], No. 30328/56. Class 120(2) A traversing motion in a bobbin winding machine, for winding yarns in different package forms, includes a cam cylinder 1 provided with a first cam path 2 for winding a single thread into a single package, and a second cam path 3 for winding two threads separately and simultaneously into the packages, the throw of path 3 being approximately half that of path 2. A roller 5 on an arm 6 carried by a traversing rail 7 can be inserted selectively in either cam path in one of the positions shown. Thread guides 8, 9, for winding into one or two packages, are provided.
