Class 75(1) In a natural draught oil vapour burner having at least one annular oil vaporizing chamber into which oil is fed and then heated the chamber comprises a channelshaped cast iron base and an inverted channel-shaped cast iron cover detachably fitted on the base, and the chamber has a vapour outlet opening directed into an annular, combustion space between upwardly extending apertured sleeves through which combustion air flows inwardly through the outer sleeve and upwards through an opening surrounding the vaporizing chamber and outwards through the inner sleeve. A vaporizing chamber comprises an annular channel shape base 1 and a cover 2. Oil entering the base 1 through a pipe 17 is ignited by a wick 23 and after the base 1 and a cover 2 reaches a sufficiently high temperature the oil in the base 1 is vaporized and the vapour passes through apertures 24 in the cover 2 into the combustion zone between perforated sleeves 9 and 10. The rising vapour draws air into the combustion zone through the apertures in the sleeves 9 and 10. A heat reflector 11 is supported within the upper end of the sleeve 9 by brackets 12. A flame spreader 13 overlying the combustion zone is also supported on the brackets 12. The outer perforated sleeve 10 is surrounded by an imperforate sleeve 14 and the inner sleeve 9 is longer than the outer sleeve 10. The oil supplied to the vaporizer is controlled by a device 18 provided with an overriding adjusting knob 21 and a temperature sensitive bulb 19 which is immersed in a hot water tank of a domestic water heater system.
