Abstract

814,321. Centrifugal action lubricators. KLOCKNER-HUMBOLDT-DEUTZ A.G. May 14, 1956, No. 14986/56. Class 12 (3). The bearings 8, 8a of a hollow vertical shaft 9 are lubricated by centrifugal action on oil which flows from a reservoir 4 through a pipe 3 which projects centrally into the bottom end of the shaft 9. The oil is retained in the shaft 9 by a shoulder 5 at the end of the shaft. An annular wall 14 prevents contact between the oil in the sump 4 and the end of the shaft. Radial holes 7, 7a are provided in the shaft adjacent the bearings 8, 8a. The invention is applied to an exhaust gas turbo-blower.
