An hydraulic tracervalve unit comprises an axially movable valve member 15 controlled by a stylus 9, and fluid pressure means 6, 14 between the stylus and valve member to multiply the stylus movement. The stylus rod 9 engages a block supported by a diaphragm 12 and moves the piston 6. The latter, through liquid contained in a chamber 16 sealed by an adjustable member 17, gives an increased movement to the piston 14 engaged by the valve 15. The ratio of movement may be varied by replacing the piston 14 and its cylinder liner 3 by members of different dimensions.
