Abstract

Perfume compositions contain an ester of 3 : 5 : 5-trimethylhexanol with a monocarboxylic aliphatic acid containing from 1 to 5 carbon atoms in the molecule. The perfume composition may contain 1-50 per cent by weight, preferably 2.5-15 per cent by weight, of ester, and may be added to soap or synthetic detergent compositions. The preferred ester is the acetate.
