Abstract

Procedure for preparing a low-foam detergent composition, characterized in that it consists essentially of: a) a nonionic surface activity component, having a veiling point above 45ºC, b) an amount of the order of 5 to 100% by weight of component "a", of a nonionic surface activity component having a veiling point below 35ºC, c) an amount of the order of 1 to 50% by weight of component "a", of a component selected from the group consisting of aliphatic monocarboxylic acids and aliphatic alcohols wherein the aliphatic radical contains from 8 to 18 carbon atoms, and d) when said composition contains aliphatic monocarboxylic acid as components "c", an amount of the order of 1 to 20 times the weight of component "a" of a mineral acid.
