[Also in Group XXXII] A load-carrying rail trolley having a tubular framework 10, Figs. 1 and 2, with transverse members 11, 12, is supported by pairs of ball castors 13, 14 and 15, 16 mounted on the members 11, 12 respectively, the spacing of the ball castors of each pair being such as to bridge the gaps in the rails at track intersections in order that the trolley will be stably supported at all times. Each ball castor is freely rotatably supported within a recess in a carrier block by means of a plurality of small balls (not shown). The trolley may be driven in the direction A, Fig. 1, by driving dogs on an endless chainengaging abutments 17. The trolley may also be driven in the direction B, Fig. 1, by driving dogs on two parallel endless chains engaging pairs of abutments 18.
