Abstract
A conductor, or a substance convertible to a conductor on fixing in a reducing atmosphere, is mixed with the modified barium titanate (or its precursors) of Specification 809,439 and the mixture fixed in a reducing atmosphere. The conductor ingredient may also be barium titanate, but in such event it must be free from the oxides of manganese or magnesium; have a particle size greater than 5 microns; and have been calcined at above 1200 DEG C. Part of the barium can be replaced by strontium. In examples, iron and ferric oxide are also used as the conductor ingredient.
