806,106. Cleaning conduits. GRAAFF, P. DE. Aug. 31, 1956 [Sept. 7, 1955], No. 26642/56. Class 99(2). Apparatus for removing an obstruction from a gully hole conduit connection 2 comprises a pipe 3 provided at the lower end thereof with a laterallyextending nozzle 4, and a clamping device extending rearwardly of the nozzle and having means adapted to press the nozzle against the wall of the gully hole. A sealing pad 5 surrounds the nozzle. As shown, the nozzle forms part of a suction pipe 3 and is pressed with the interposition of a rubber seal 5 against the wall of the gully hole by a hinged segment 6 connected by a rod 8 to an operating lever 9. A water pipe 10 discharges into the nozzle.
