801,720. Transformers. COMPAGNIE POURLA FABRICATION DES COMPTEURS ET MATERIEL D'USINES A. GAZ. Feb. 6, 1957 [Feb. 9, 1956], No. 4080/57. Class 38 (2). A superimposing transformer whereby a high-frequency signal voltage is superimposed upon a mains frequency high voltage comprises a toroidal core 1 enclosed in a toroidal casing 2 of aluminium or aluminium alloy which has extending therefrom a hollow support 3. A winding 5 fed with a signal frequency low voltage is wound on the casing and is surrounded by a high voltage winding 11 fed from the mains. The winding 11 serves as the primary winding for two current transformers having cores 6, 7 and secondary windings 8, 9 disposed alongside the winding 5. Strips of textile or fibrous material insulate the winding 11 from the other windings, and refractory insulation separates the core 1 and casing 2.
