Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the unbalance of thermal elongation amount and to reduce the generation of thermal stress by inflicting lower loss upon the material of an iron core wound no winding than an iron core wound a winding wherein the quantity of generated heat at each section of the iron cores at the time of loading is averaged. CONSTITUTION:Lower loss is inflicted upon the material of an iron core 1 wound no winding and upper and lower yokes 4, 5 than that of an iron core composing of main legs 2 wound windings respectively and one side of an external leg 3. The quantity of magnetic flux of the iron core legs wound windings is decided by the voltage and the number of turns of low-voltage windings 7 and a exciting winding 10 and the quantity of magnetic flux of the external leg 1 and the upper and lower yokes 4, 5 is decided by the voltage and the number of turns of high-voltage windings 9 and a tap winding 11. As the latter quantity of magnetic flux is small, the unbalance of heat generation between the external leg 1 and the upper and lower yokes 4, 5 will be eliminated and the generation of thermal stress will be reduced if the material having low loss is used for the iron core used for the external leg 1 and the upper and lower yokes 4, 5.
