Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a three-phase transformer having a high magnetic flux density by forming the cross section of one coil in an arc shape, forming the cross section of the other coil in a regular triangle shape, connecting both coils through insulators, and eliminating the extra space between the winding and the iron core. CONSTITUTION:Windings 5-7 for each phase are formed so that the shape of the cross sectional area is approximately semicircular. To obtain said shape, the cross section of one coil 1 constituting said windings 5-7 is made to be an arc shape, and the cross section of the other coil 2 is made to be an approximately regular triangle. Both coils are connected through insulators 3 and 4. Three windings 5-7 for each phase, that is, three phases are arranged through the insulators 3 and 4, respectively, so as to form a regular triangle. Thus, the cross sectional areas of the leg portions, which are the connecting portions of the windings 5-7, are made to be approximately circular, and the extra space between the winding and the iron core can be eliminated.
