Abstract

PURPOSE:To make small-sized and light-weight transformer by preparing two pieces of main leg iron cores wound about by both of the primary and secondary coils respectively and one piece of supporting leg iron core while providing the main leg iron cores with a magnetic gap. CONSTITUTION:The insulators 7a and 7b are inserted in both sides legs of E- type iron cores 6a and 6b respectively to make a magnetic gap, both legs are wound about by the primary coils 8 and 10 as well as the secondary coils 9 and 11 to consist the transformers 12a and 12b. And the iron core legs on both sides form main leg iron cores while the central iron core leg forms the assisting leg iron core. In case the primary coils 8 and 10 are wound about by same winding times in the opposite directions and electrically conducted, the respective magnetic flux phi1 and phi2 form a magnetic circuit going through an assisting iron core but at this assisting iron core the magnetic flux have the opposite directions thus canceled out each other to minimize the iron core section, whereby making small-sized and light-weighing as a whole.
