PURPOSE:To prevent beat in an electromagnetic for an electromagnetic contactor or the like by winding exciting coils on iron core legs at the opposite sides respectively except the central iron core leg of an E-type iron core wherein a capacitor is connected in parallel with either of the coils. CONSTITUTION:Exciting coils 3a, 3b are wound on each iron core leg at the opposite sides of an E-type fixed iron core 2 facing to an E-type moving iron core 1 providing shading coils 4 at the iron core legs at opposite ends. A capacitor 6 is connected in parallel with the exciting coil 3b at one side and the coils 3a, 3b are also connected in series to form differential shape. The phase difference between the magnetic flux passing through the iron core legs at the opposite sides and that passing through the central iron core becomes large after skipping. Therefore, pulsation disappears and no beat will occur.
