Abstract

800,141. Joining pipes to plates. CLANG, Ltd., and BARNETT, A. June 9, 1955 [March 17, 1954], No. 7753/54. Class 99(1). [Also in Group XXXVI] A pipe is secured to a box 4 by a socket 1 formed on or attached to the pipe and connected to the box by a bifurcated clip 9 which engages an annular groove 5 in the portion of the socket which projects into the box. A rubber washer 8 may be engaged between the box and a shoulder 7 on the socket. The arms of the clip may be convergent so that it is retained in position and may be bowed to press the head 6 of the socket away from the interior face 12 of the box.
