800,058. Walls; building panels. HILDEN, K. K. July 25, 1956 [Sept. 17, 1955], No. 22922/56. Classes 20(4) and 87(1) A removable partition is formed of a plurality of units each of which comprises a wooden frame faced with panels, the upper and lower cross bars of the frame being formed from three planks 1, 2, 3 the centre one of which is offset inwardly relative to the other planks to form a slot to receive the stem of a T-sectioned bead 4, wedges 6 being inserted between the frame uprights 5 and the beads to urge the latter against the floor or ceiling. Each frame upright 5 comprises three planks 7, 8, 9 the centre plank 8 being offset outwardly on one upright and inwardly at the other one to form tongue 10 and groove 11. One facing panel 14 is also displaced and provided with a tongue 12 to engage a corresponding groove 13 on plank 7 of an adjoining unit. Masking caps 15 may be provided at the top of the partition, and electric conduits 16 may be accommodated in the space between plant 2 and bead 4. Layers of heat and sound insulating material may be packed between the panels and the frame.
