Abstract

795,714. Partitions. HACQUARD, P. May 2, 1956 [May 11, 1955], No. 13600/56. Class 20(4) A partition comprises hollow metal posts Panchored to the floor, cross-members 20, 23 hooked to the posts, and panels 28 suspended from the cross-members either on one side or on both sides. The posts are formed by a pair of grooved channel-section members 7 held together by other channel-section strips 12 welded between joggled strips 11 welded to the members 7. The grooves 8, 12 are provided with slots 14 into which, the hooked ends of the crossmembers or hooks 19 on a finishing strip 18 are passed. The upper cross-members 23 carry oppositely directed brackets 24. The flanges 25 of which support flanges 26 of the box-like panels 28 the lower parts of which carry brackets 29 for hooking over the lower cross-members 20. Insulating material 30 may be secured to the inner faces of the panels. The posts are received in sockets 4 carried by footings 1, a slidable trimming cap 5 being provided. A closure cap 15 may be sprung into the top of the posts.
