Abstract

914,115. Suspended ceiling panels. BOWATER RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CO. Ltd. Oct. 25, 1960 [Oct. 27, 1959], No. 36473/59. Classes 20 (4) and 87 (1). Square or rectangular ceiling panels which comprise tray-like members 1 adapted to carry soundabsorbing means, heatradiating means or heatbarrier means, are provided with outwardlyextending flanges 2 along their upper edges, two of the flanges being off-set for the thickness of the flanges in the direction of the depth of the tray relative to the other flanges thereof whereby flanges of adjacent panels can overlap whilst the panels lie in a common plane. The tray is formed of rigid foraminous material, e.g. metal mesh, and is closed at its top by a plate. The panels supported by a system of supporting beams as claimed and described in Specification 914,117.
