799,681. Radio receiving circuits. KOLSTERBRANDES, Ltd. June 19, 1956, No. 18935/56. Class 40 (5). In a radio receiving set a valve 1 is connected to switch contact 3 via the inner conductor of a coaxial cable 2, while high-frequency tuned circuit 7 is connected to contact 5 via the cable outer. The cable 2-if necessary with the addition of series inductance or capacitance 6-is made half-wave (or a multiple) resonant at the resonance frequency of the tuned circuit, so that with moving contact 4 bridging contacts 3, 5 the circuit 7 and valve 1 are effectively directly connected together. On low-frequency wavebands, e.g. when moving contact 4 bridges contacts 3, 8 the cable is effectively additional stray circuit capacity.
