886,298. Radio receiver switch tuning arrangements. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 14, 1960 [Sept. 17, 1959], No. 31674/60. Classes 40(5) and 40(6). In a circuit for changing the tuning of a resonant circuit K in which a diode 6 is rendered conductive to connect a capacitor 1 across the circuit K, another diode 8 isolates the internal capacity of the control cable 4, 5 from capacitor 1 and therefore from the resonant circuit. A control potential 3 may be applied by switch 10 to a cable 4, 5 to tune circuit K to a number of pre-selected frequencies. The diodes used may be of the tunnel or pnpn type to reduce the power required for control.
