The range of variation of a circuit tuned by a variable condenser C is restricted by connecting it, in series with a padding condenser Cp, across part only of the inductance L. A trimmer condenser Ctr is connected in parallel with part or the whole of the inductance L, the terminals of the circuit comprising (A) the common point of condenser C and inductance L; and (B) a tap on, or the other end of the inductance L.
