799,369. Protective cut-out systems. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AKTIEBOLAGET. May 14, 1956 [May 28, 1955], No. 14880/56. Class 38 (5). A phase-sequence filter for a three-phase system has two current transformers 1, 2 feeding two impedance circuits. Transformer 1 feeds a resistor 6 and the primary 7 of a transformer 3 whilst transformer 2 feeds a resistor 4 and reactor 5 in parallel and also a small additional primary 9 of the transformer 3. The output is taken from the terminals 10 across the circuit comprising resistor 6, transformer secondary 8 and the parallel resistor 4 and reactor 5. The Specification shows with the aid of vector diagrams (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) that the output is a measure of the negative phase sequence component and that no positive phase sequence component appears even when the system frequency changes. The winding 9 may be omitted and instead the values of resistors 4, 6 and the air gap in the transformer 3 adjusted.
