Abstract

798,386. Supply systems for vehicles. LUCAS (INDUSTRIES), Ltd., J. Feb. 12, 1957 [Feb. 16, 1956], No. 4836/56. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XXXVIII] In an A.C. supply system for a motor cycle or other small vehicles, fed by a generator, preferably of the permanent magnet type, the horn is arranged to have its winding f normally short-circuited by a switch g-i which is opened to operate the horn. Generator winding a supplies the ignition circuit and a second winding b is normally short-circuited through switches g-i and k, the latter being opened to illuminate headlamp n. Rear lamp o may be fed from either the generator, or a battery q in series with parking lamp p through switches m, r.
