Abstract

684,855. Supply systems for vehicles. C.A.V., Ltd. Feb. 21, 1951 [March 7, 1950]. No. 5695/50. Class 38(iv). In a vehicle dynamo-battery system in which a fuse q in series with a cut-out c (having shunt and series coils d, e, respectively) are between the battery b and dynamo a in a circuit shunted by an indicator lamp r, the cutout has an additional pair of contacts i, j, which remove resistance k; from the electromagnet circuit of a regulator m-o for the dynamo when the cut-out is closed. By this arrangement, the cut-out operates with little reverse current, so that the indicator r is effective whenever the dynamo ceases to supply current to the battery.
