Abstract

798,111. Inking apparatus. PRINTING, PACKAGING & ALLIED TRADES RESEARCH. March 13, 1957 [March 15, 1956], No. 8177/56. Class 100(2) [Also in Group XXVIII] Printing ink mist generated at the nip of a pair of rollers 1, 2 or gears is combined by elongated jets of compressed air issuing from slots 5, 6 in a tube 3 paralllel to the axes of the rollers and located near the outflow side thereof. Both jets are directed against the rollers radially and in a modification the slots are replaced by lines of orifices. The tube 3 is held between side plates 7 on which the mist is deposited.
