Abstract
852,084. Inking -apparatus. ST. REGIS PAPER CO. Oct. 22, 1958 [Nov. 26, 1957], No. 33752/58. Class 100(2) A web 10 is printed in a multi-colour machine by passing between impression cylinders 11<SP>1</SP>-17<SP>1</SP> and printing cylinders 11-17 supplied with ink from fountains 19 by roller systems 18, and the inking-apparatus is enclosed by end plates and closures 33, 36, 37, 35, 39. Into the enclosure above each roller system extends a pair of nozzles 20 with inwardly directed holes to blow air at 0-40% relative humidity at 80-120 degrees F. axially of the rollers.
