Abstract

937,973. Printing apparatus. TIMSONS Ltd. Sept. 7, 1962 [Sept. 14, 1961], No. 32941/61. Class 100 (2). A web W of paper, film, foil &c. is printed on one side at a printing station P<SP>1</SP>, is passed through a drying chamber 4, is turned over and passed through a second printing station P<SP>2</SP> where it is printed on its other side prior to a second passage through the chamber 4, said station P<SP>2</SP> being located vertically above the station P<SP>1</SP>. After each printing operation the web passes through the chamber 4 in parallel runs W<SP>1</SP>, W<SP>2</SP> and a low temperature gas flame F is directed between the runs to dry the facing print thereon. Web turnover is effected by an arrangement of rollers 9, 10, 11 and 12, guides 15, 16, 17, 19, 20 and 22 and divert bars 18 and 21. Specification 868,679 is referred to.
