Abstract

In each throughput path of a cooling roller stand (K) there are three cooling rollers (I, II, III). In order that two webs of paper (1, 2) relating to different printing works can also be guided through each throughput path, two additional deflection rollers (U1, U2) are mounted near to the three cooling rollers in order to separate the two webs of paper from one another again. In order to be able to allow the two webs of paper (1, 2) to pass in a common throughput path through one drier (T) which is connected ahead of the cooling roller stand, an additional auxiliary roller (U) is used in order to guide one of the two webs of paper towards the other. Said auxiliary roller (U) is arranged ahead of the drier. The upper web of paper (2) is firstly guided over the first cooling roller (I) then over the second cooling roller (II) and then over the second deflection roller (U2). The lower web of paper (1) is firstly guided over the first deflection roller (U1), then over the second cooling roller (II) and then over the third cooling roller (III).
