Abstract

A composition for bonding sheet material comprises polyvinyl chloride, a vinyl chloridevinylidene chloride copolymer, a butadieneacrylonitrile copolymer and, preferably, a phenol-formaldehyde polymer. The composition may also contain a coumarone-indene resin, tricresyl phosphate, basic lead carbonate, antimony trioxide, carbon black, zinc oxide, stearic acid and vulcanizing agents such as sulphur, and benzothiazyl disulphide. The composition is used in the manufacture of multiply belts.
