Class 20(1) An explosive processing building 10 comprises side walls 11 end walls 12 and a roof 13 to sustain earth heaped around and on top and is provided with at least one vent shaft 16. all located to prevent blast and missiles reaching other buildings. The vent shaft 16 is separated from the building 10 by a thin wall 17 of plasterboard on wood studding. A tunnel 24 is provided for entry of personnel. The roof 13 has a top cupola 21 for the shafts of mixing machines. An open passage 15 from the building 10 leads to a tunnel 30 being separated from 10 by a partition wall 18 and from 16 by another partition wall 19 'both of light construction like 17. The materials enter by a conveyer tunnel 27 and the finished products are taken out by another conveyer tunnel 30. All tunnels are of poured concrete. The conveyers are isolated from the processing buildings by spark-blocking partitions. A further tunnel 34 to the shaft 16 is provided for inspection or cleaning. All outside tunnel openings are directed against the earthworks of adjacent buildings. In Fig. 5 the back wall 42 is erected at the side of a hill, crushed stone 54 being filled in between wall and hill. Two side walls 40 and a roof 41 is also poured integral with the back wall 42 and the front is closed by a light curtain wall 46, e.g. of plywood. Earth 49 is heaped on top and down the sides. An apron 53 and a door (55 Fig. 6 not shown for entrance is provided. The side walls 40 have integral side wings (48 Fig. 4, not shown). A concrete bulkhead (47 Fig. 4, not shown) is in front of or underneath the curtain wall 46.
