[Class 132 (iii)] Toy building blocks, 10, Fig. 4, for constructing model buildings are of hollow rectangular section, the cavity extending vertically, and in one or more faces channels 11 of undercut section are provided so that adjacent bricks may be held together by inserting a locking piece as shown in Fig. 6 in adjacent channels of the adjacent bricks. In modifications the channels may take the form shown at 41 in Fig. 8, or at 42 in Fig. 9, and filling pieces such as 39, Fig. 9, may be provided to engage any non-operative channels. In the construction of a toy building, Fig. 1, channelled window frame elements 21, 22, 23, 24, a window 27, channelled door frame elements 29, 30 and a door 32 are also provided. Internal partition walls may also be constructed with the blocks 10 as also may an upper floor as shown in Fig 3, the floor resting on pins 16. Alternatively, a floor or ceiling may be constructed of blocks of inverted tray form, Fig. 14, slots 51 in the edge portions 49 being provided to accomodate wedges and thereby lock the blocks together.
