Abstract
792,025. Valve circuits. AMALGAMATED WIRELESS (AUSTRALASIA), Ltd. Feb. 24, 1956 [March 7, 1955], No. 5790/56. Class 40 (6). In an audio-frequency amplifier having a valve supplied with grid bias from a negative H.T. line resistor, ripple is reduced by the insertion of a resistor in series with the H.T. smoothing capacitor. The ripple developed across the bias resistor R2 is cancelled at the grid of V2 by an antiphased ripple developed across Rx and fed to V2 via R3. An equivalent bridge circuit and expressions for Rx and C2 are given.
