791,807. Fuel briquettes. COAL INDUSTRY (PATENTS), Ltd. April 20, 1956 [Jan. 20, 1955], No. 1775/55. Class 50. A fuel briquette made from coal, coke or other material derived from coal, comprises an over layer of smoky and/or smokeless fuels and a smoky binder, e.g. high volatile coal and coal tar pitch, sandwiched between two outer layers consisting of smokeless fuels and a smokeless binder, e.g. anthracite, low volatile coal, coke or semi-coke and sodium silicate. The layers are compressed into discs of suitable size and introduced into a double roll briquetting press.
