791,200. Electricity meter and like bearings. LANDIS & GYR AKT.-GES. June 21, 1956 [June 25, 1955], No. 19280/56. Class 12 (1). In a bottom bearing of a sensitive measuring instrument, such as an electricity meter, the step portion 4 has an inner recess 8 of slightly larger radius than that of a ball 7 running therein and an outer portion 9 in the form of a depression of substantially shallower inclination than the inner recess. The depression 9 may be in the form of a part of a cone, as shown, or it may form part of a segment of a sphere. The step 4 is mounted on a head 3 which is resiliently mounted on the end of a leaf spring 2.
