Abstract

790,078. Towing hooks. HULL STEAM TRAWLERS' MUTUAL INSURANCE & PROTECTING CO., Ltd., and MARSHALL, E. T. Sept. 21, 1956 [Oct. 5, 1955], No. 28333/55. Class 114. In a trawler towing block, a roller bracket 12 is provided with one or more rigid extensions 20 adjacent its pivotal connection 13 to the towing block body 11. The extensions may have hooked ends 20a. The body 11 is mounted through an upstanding leg 11a to swivel about an eye 14 fixed to the trawler and may have a downwardly directed lug to engage the trawler rail. A swivel eye 16 pivots about the lip of the bracket 12 to engage over a pin 17 on the leg 11a and be secured there by a pin passing through the pin 17. A lever 23, Fig. 4, on an arm 24 secured to the leg 11a may facilitate disengagement of the swivel eye 16 from the pin 17.
