766,967. Towing ships. PRICHARD M. HESKETH-. (Akt.-Ges. Weser). Feb. 22, 1955, No. 5345/55. Class 114. An arrangement for attaching a draw hook to the hull of a tug comprises a draw bar D pivotally mounted at E in the central plane of the boat, an arcuate horizontal guide F comprising two members F<SP>1</SP>, F<SP>2</SP> that provide a guide channel G in which run two opposed rollers H<SP>1</SP>, H<SP>2</SP> connected together by an axle J pivotally connected to the draw bar, a link L mounted on the draw bar at L<SP>1</SP> and capable of vertical angularmovement, a second link M rotatably mounted in the eye of the first link so as to be capable of horizontal angular movement, and a double link N pivotally connected at M<SP>1</SP> to said second link for receiving the draw hook O, the length of the link N being such that when the hook is transverse to the centre line of the boat it projects to the required extent.
