779,569. Buoys. GARLAND, N. Aug. 12, 1955, No. 23312/55. Class 68 (1). A mooring shackle for a buoy comprises several eye shackles 14, 15 mounted about a common pivot 16 carried by a member 7 that is so mounted on the buoy that it may have a universal rocking movement with respect to the buoy. The pivotal movement of each shackle may be limited by an abutment surface 24, 25 provided on each of the bifurcated jaws of the shackle engaging the upper surface of the member 7. The member 7 may be such as the cable support member described in Specification 485,173, which is referred to.
